Care and Cleaning Instructions

Temperature Guidelines: Do not raise or lower your exterior window shades when the temperature is below 40°F. If the shades are UP when the temperature drops, keep them UP until it warms up. If the shades are DOWN, leave them DOWN until temperatures rise. Operating the shades in cold weather can damage the materials.

Manual Operation: When using a manual hand crank, avoid overextending the shade. Stop turning the crank once the shade reaches the ground.

Clear Vinyl Fabric Care: Clean clear vinyl fabric 2-3 times a year to prevent dirt and smog buildup. Use a neutral detergent mixed with water and a soft sponge. Avoid applying excessive pressure to prevent deformation. Do NOT use abrasive sponges, harsh detergents, or alcohol, as these can make the material cloudy.

Insect Screen and Sheer Fabric Care: At the end of the season, gently brush the screens with a soft-bristled brush to remove dirt. Apply light pressure to avoid damage.
